    From Poverty to Service

Born into poverty, Lukas enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 17, driven by a desire to serve his country and improve his circumstances. His time in the military was marked by courage and sacrifice; he served with distinction in the 82nd Airborne Division during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, where he was wounded at the age of 19.

That experience did not create ambition.
    It created clarity.

The Hard Part No One Talks About

After his military service, Lukas faced the challenges of transitioning back into civilian life. Like many veterans, the shift was not immediate or simple.

He pursued higher education and earned degrees in nursing, computer science, and geological science from institutions including The University of Texas at Austin and The University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Despite facing learning difficulties such as dyslexia, Lukas excelled academically and became a self-taught software engineer. That path laid the foundation for his future entrepreneurial work by teaching him how to break complex systems down into something usable.

    Building Systems That Actually Work

Lukas’s first significant venture was Clusiv, the world’s first accessible e-learning platform designed specifically for the blind and visually impaired.

Clusiv was not built from theory.
It was built from lived experience and a belief that poorly designed systems exclude the people who need them most.

Under Lukas’s leadership, Clusiv raised over $4 million in venture capital, demonstrating his ability to lead and scale transformative projects. His work earned recognition from organizations including the Texas Business Hall of Fame and other industry institutions.

Service Didn’t Stop With One Company

Beyond Clusiv, Lukas has remained deeply involved in supporting veterans and entrepreneurs.

He served as a City Leader and Veterans in Residence Principal with Bunker Labs, a nonprofit focused on helping military veterans transition into civilian life through entrepreneurship. He is also a board member of Warrior Rising, an organization dedicated to empowering veteran entrepreneurs.

In addition, Lukas participates in the Bunker Labs CEO Circle with JP Morgan Chase, where he continues to mentor and support veterans pursuing business ventures.

The common thread across all of this work is structure: helping people move from uncertainty to control.

    Why VetClaims.ai Exists

Lukas’s dedication to service ultimately led to the founding of VetClaims.ai.

Inspired by his own challenges with securing VA benefits, he recognized that the VA claims process is complex, opaque, and often misunderstood. Around that complexity, an entire industry has formed that profits from confusion rather than clarity.

VetClaims.ai was created to change that.

The platform leverages AI technology to help veterans navigate the VA claims process by:

    • Simplifying preparation and documentation
    • Helping veterans understand how VA ratings are determined
    • Providing expert guidance tailored to each veteran’s situation

    The goal is not bureaucracy.
    The goal is informed control.

    The Same Mission, Applied Differently

Lukas Simianer’s journey—on the battlefield, in academia, and in the boardroom—follows a consistent pattern: understanding difficult systems and redesigning them to serve people more effectively.

Through his work, Lukas continues to impact countless lives, from empowering the visually impaired to supporting fellow veterans in their post-service endeavors.

VetClaims.ai is a continuation of that work.
